1. Cathedral of San Pantaleon

The Cathedral of San Pantaleon or Duomo di Ravello is the main Catholic place of worship in the city. Its first foundations date back to the beginning of the 11th century, making it one of the oldest cathedrals on the coast.

2. Villa Rufolo

The Villa Rufolo is one of the main buildings in the historical centre of Ravello, which stands opposite the Duomo and belonged to a very powerful family in the 13th century. After passing through many private properties, the villa is now under the protection of the Ravello Foundation.

3. Oscar Niemeyer audorium

The Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium takes its name from the Brazilian architect who designed it. This auditorium has a capacity of 320 seats, and was inaugurated in 2010. The auditorium was designed to encourage tourism and interest in classical music in the area.

4. Villa Cimbrone

Villa Cimbrone is a building in the city of Ravello, largely covered today by a hotel, and gardens decorated with statues and archaeological remains. The name comes from the Capo Cimbronium, where a Roman villa was erected, and today occupies the current building.

5. Scala

Scala is a municipality very close to Salerno, with about 1500 inhabitants and barely 13km2. The first signs of people living in the town date back to the 6th century. Because of its high location and rocky base, the town was home to castles and fortresses in the Middle Ages.

6. Terrace of Infinite

The Terrace of the Infinite emerges on one side of the Villa Cimbrone, on the cape that overlooks the Gulf of Salerno. The terrace is famous for its privileged views of almost the entire coast, and the villages that make it up, from the high panorama of Ravello.

7. Santa Maria in Gradillo

The Church of Santa Maria a Gradilo was built in the 11th century as a place of worship for the Medieval Ravello and as a place of parliamentary meetings. In the 50’s, it underwent numerous restorations, the most important being the dome, destroyed in 1899.

8. Ravello festival

It has been celebrated every year since 1953, with a repertoire of shows that covers more than two months in the city of Ravello. The Summer Festival attracts hundreds of spectators, first held in the Villa Rufolo gardens, and currently in the Niemeyer Auditorium.

9. Camo coral museum

The Coral Camo Museum is located behind the coral trade of the same name in the city of Ravello. You can admire pieces that date back to the 15th century and magnificent coral creations. A traditional historical art on most of the Amalfi coast.

10. Local wineries

The city of Ravello, because of its altitude and hilly territory, is famous on the Amalfi Coast for the production of good quality wines. There are many wineries that offer programmed visits to learn about the art that few practice in the area.
